Winchester College only exists as we know it today thanks to the generous support of many donors, and the generations who have come before us, going right back to our Founder, William of Wykeham, in 1382. Our pupils past, present and future cannot thank you enough.
A new space for Winchester Girls
In 2022 Winchester welcomed a small number of girls as day pupils into VIth Book. There are now 36 girls at the school. The first girls' boarding house will open in September 2026 and a second will open in 2027 providing accommodation for 120 boarders and 20 day pupils across the two houses.
Each house will include:
- A dining hall seating 88
- A house kitchen where pupils can prepare their food
- A living room and games room
- Laundry and changing facilities
- A library
- Two music rooms
